Greetings. I was asked to introduce myself as a newbie. My Name is Kevin (Killian) Carroll. Yesterday I sold my 1979 MGB and bought my first BMW, a 1998 Z3 2.8L Roadster Automatic. Its dark green with tan interior and has about 49,400 miles on it. Was owned by a little old lady, really. I'm retired, Air Force/DoD, and I live just north of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Looking forward to the forum, and I'm sure I will have lots of question! I will also become a paying member next week, as soon as I get my Z3 insured and registered in Massachusetts, which is always a painful process. Thanks!

Thank you Tony! I use to visit Lincolnshire and Waddington AB often when in U.S. Air Force. Great places to visit!

We’re the other side if Lincoln at Torksey. Small world. We have a home in Florida also but I doubt we will see it this year at least.

Thank you Bonzo! Very nice color blue and very nice wheels! BTW, I need to check previous posts so I dont repeat any threads, but can you (or others) recommend a good touch up paint kit? I have the dark green 307 and it has a few scratches, nicks, etc. Also, I have some minor cracks in the front lower fiberglass guard (not sure what it is called). Can I use the same stuff that is used on boats? Thank you!

Hi and welcome from London
Thank you Slam! Awesome color on your car. Been to London about 25 times. Great times. Marriott Hyde Park. Great fish & chips pub 2 blocks behind it. Think it started with a N. Saw my first MGB and Z3 parked there many years ago. Got me hooked! Cheers.

Hi Killian, thanks for the compliments. The Colour is Montreal Blue, and the wheels are Alpina 20 spoke Softlines.

I got my touch up paint kit from a BMW main dealer. When I replaced my outer sills I took them to a bodywork/paintshop for painting. I told the sprayer that the colour was Montreal Blue and he said which Montreal Blue? He then got out a paint chart out with 3 different Montreal Blue hues to match the colour perfectly!! For nothing bigger than a stone chip any hue of your body colour would probably do, but for anything bigger, check which green you have on the car ( you should find that on one of the front suspension turrets) and then check to see if it has different hues.
I can't help you with the cracks on fibreglass, but I'm sure someone else on here will be along to advise you.
