Hi Guys
just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in my Autumn years and two years ago decided it was time to re-live the past with a sports car just as my wife had one when we first met. I decided the Z4 was for me, I didn't want a 3L beast - just enough to feel the wind through my ever decreasing locks!! My purchase was a 2.0L in the stipulated red with cream leather upholstery. We only used it in summer and for less than £4K I was like a dog with two tails. It's sailed through both MOT's so I'm keeping it. I might look a bit of a p***** with the roof down but hey who cares!
I've got problems now with the air bag warning light staying on and I'm waiting for garages to open up again so I can get it fixed.
Also I need to think about re positioning the roof motor - does anybody know of anyone specialising in this near to Hull, I don't mind travelling just don't want a cowboy

Hi and welcome from me near Lincoln, another Z4 owner. There’s a guy in the northeast who does roof motor relocation I think but it’s likely to be after this CV thing is eased before you will get anyone to do it for you?
Regarding the air bag light, you will need a code reader of some sort to reset the airbag light even if you find and fix the fault. I recently had an Auto Electrician to sort mine. It was the N/S one and turned out to be a poor contact in the A pillar connector block. The previous year, and at MOT time again I had an issue which was on the O/S one!
Are you south of Hull by any chance?

that's good info worth knowing, I'm west of Hull just watching the end of the M62 about 1 mile over the fields. My usual garage had a code reader at MOT time but not detailed enough to show the exact fault for the airbag. Any idea where I might find the number for the roof motor guy?

Do you happen to know what the code was when the garage looked? Send @Z Victor 1 a pm he had his done recently I think.
