It's never too late to join us.
And you've got a very iconic Zed!
Enjoy the car and the forum and wish you good luck with the project!

Hi All
It's only taken me a couple of months to wright my first post after joining Zroadster back in November.
After many years of admiring the Z3 and owning one I finally got my wish!
She is a bit of a project and like me is a bit rough around the edges and in need of some TLC, at twenty years old and with a 100,000 on the clock I am looking forward to making her shine again and then joining and meeting Zroadster people on days out. :)
Welcome to the forum from the other side of the Pond...................Frankie

Welcome to the nut house!!

I wonder if anyone has put their 1.9 on a rolling road and found out how many of the nags are still alive =))
They would but struggle to turn the rollers =))

z1.png HI All
I have finally taken a few more pics of project Z and even had a few trips out in sunshine! Even her indoors came out on a couple of times on a lovely trip down to Bridport/Westbay on the south coast around 25 miles from us. Roll on summer, still saving up to get those paint lobs done and a new roof by next winter.
I would like to get the Z a little more up together before I meet any of you Zedders out there with your immaculate examples...:)
All the best happy cruising
Nonky.

Some of us think Zs are for using rather than polishing (other opinions are available). I like to see a properly used car, not all are immaculate so don't let that put you off:)

Thanks, I am a bit self conscious I suppose after seeing some of the Z pics out there. The worst part is paint on the front bumper which needs a respray, once that's done I'll be a lot happier.
The rest can wait, I bought the Z as a project for very little money so as and when!
Cheers

:welcome: to the Forum from West Cumbria. The more use the better for me, I have a nice collection of stone chips on my front bumper but hey ho :)

My front bumper was repainted a few years ago, and could do with repainting again now. Just adds to the patina.:)

Thanks Andy
The front corners have been caught especially the drivers side and the door mirrors have been re-sprayed by a blind chimp!
The drivers mirror is hanging on by a wing and glue!!
Cheers Nonk

Nonk, it really doesn't matter what your Zed looks like. It is nice to have a great looking car, like some of the ones you see on the forum, but driving it and having fun in it, that's what it's all about mate. Turn up at some of the runs. We don't bite, honest.

Hello and welcome from Truro. My car is far from immaculate so don't let a thing like that worry you. I caught a high kerb with my front bumper a year or so ago that has split it. I keep intending to sort it but other things keep getting in the way. There's a few rust spots too, especially on the lips of the sills just behind the front wheels.
On the plus side, it's just waltzed through an MOT again last weekend and I'm looking forward to a summer of top down driving.

Come on out and join one of the meets. There's one in the Cotswolds on April 9th. I could meet you on my way up there
