Morning All, Griff here, located just outside Doncaster, S.Yorks.

Yesterday after yet more financial hardship I finally took delivery of a 2002 Z3 2:2M roadster in blue. 73'000 miles, 1 years mot, 4 x brand new tyres, new battery, new rear screen. It comes with a s/steel exhaust system too. Everything seems to be in full working order. It's not been upgraded or 'Mucked about with' as far as I can tell with no 'Farkling' additions to date.

This will be our summer weekend 'Toy' Next week its off into dry storage until spring 2023. I did gently take it out for a ten mile test run yesterday though. 'It' has now got a name too - 'Zebedee' Well, you've gotta have a laugh

Ok - Me:- 62 yrs young, married (For what seems like forever!) two grown up offspring, five grandsons, one Golden retriever gundog - Purdey - our fourth one (Yes, she does go on game shoots). 1976 - 2000 = 24 Yrs in the Royal Navy. 2000 to date =- self employed wall /floor tiler 'GriffTile'

My main hobby is a classic wooden Norfolk Broads cabin cruiser - 'Broad Ambition' which takes up most of my free time maintaining and enjoying (See her on Youtube). I'm also a biker with a Triumph Tiger 1050 brought brand new in 2007. T'other hobby is clay and game shooting 12guage mainly although not much game shooting nowadays due to the sky high costs, generally go on days picking up with said 'Purdey' dog

This is my first outright owned Bmw and my second ragtop. I do have experience with toolkits and know my way round them. In a previous life I built a Dutton Phaeton with a 2:0L pinto (Still got that although its not been on the road for years - Must get it sorted and moved on)

Upgrades to this Z3? Too early to say for sure but will invest in an induction kit, ZX1 to engine box and diff. Upgrading lamps to LED should be achievable. Maybe Front and Rear suspension bracing. We'll see

Nice to be here

Hi and welcome, Quite a few members in your area. Nice car the 2.2i especially the Sport version. There isn't a 2.2 M however, only the Z3 3.2 M.

Looks like a nice topaz Z3 with an 'M' badge on the front, but all 'Z3M' cars are pre facelift and different animals altogether.

That's what the badge says, not got the log book through as of yet
Welcome! Your car looks like it’s a 2.2i sport. The M badge on the front is not standard and doesn’t mean anything. Nice looking car that hasn’t been driven much for the last few years. Hopefully you’ll rectify that once it comes out of storage.
