Hi guys newbie saying hello!
I've recently managed to get myself a 2.0L straight six Z3 in a PX deal with my Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000. What a completely different car it is. I've driven all sorts from hot hatches (Mercedes A45) to blistering fast estate cars (RS6 what an animal!) but it's my first convertible roadster!
It is my second BMW. Currently drive a 1 series (123d) as my daily and aren't completely sold on the Z3 to be quite honest. Think Im not used to driving a non-turbo car. Maybe if it was the 3.0l straight six it would be a different story!
So on that note whilst I'm pondering over whether I'm going to be keeping it what do you guys think the following will be worth:
Manual, green colour 1999.
91k mileage with a full service history.
Engine and gear box seem sound!
Body work is quite tatty with rust spots on the arches an paint bubbling in certain places.
Any advice from fellow Z3 owners would be welcome.

Hi and welcome from London, the 2.0 will never set the world on fire compared with what you have been used to driving but still a good little cruiser.

Haha it definitely won't! Don't think I'll be keeping it too long though.

Hello and welcome to the forum. With regards to your question, 1999 2.0L with 91k miles, bubbles on bodywork but good mechanically, I'd say £1500-2000 there or thereabouts, but bodywork condition will be key. 91k miles is ok for a 19yr old car.

If you're not planning on keeping it due to your initial feelings (which are usually correct in my mind) don't spend anything on it till you have driven a 2.2, 2.8 or a 3.0 because you'll end up losing money you could spend on the "right" car.

Tony.

ps. Welcome from me near Lincoln by the way.

I had a 2.0l, it was ok I suppose but always felt like I was hammering it just to keep it on cam, 2.8 is a different beast,
