Welcome! It's a nice combo with the roof and the silver body. The 2.2 it's a nice choice for an all-around purpose. It's punchy enough but you can still exploit its potential on public roads.
You might want to check the actual mileage on the car, in general wear on steering wheel, shift knob and seats as I think it's not its original roof the one it's got on, also check the service history is OK, weak spot is the cooling system so check if and when the thermostat/water pump/water lines have been replaced.
The bonnet does not sit right to me, and not in respect to the bumper but to the side panel, it might be the picture but there seems to be quite a wide gap between the two. If I'd be looking to buy it that would set an alarm and possibly some questions to the current owner.

Hi @Simon Blythe and welcome. The panel gaps should be approx 5mm on all panels but the bonnet has quite a bit of adjustment both on the hinges and locks.

It's possible that the bonnet wasn't even properly closed when the pictures were taken?

Tony.

If you can not make your mind up between a Z3 and Z4 then its a must to test both because as has been said previously they are completely different cars. We have been fortunate to have owned both the 3.0 Z3 then upgraded to the 3.0 Z4 and because we had a Z3 before the Z4 it took me around 2 years to really connect with it. Drive both of them and the one you feel more connected too will be the one to go for

Thanks again for the advice and input, I'm glad of the comment regarding the actual bonnet / door panel alignment as it doesn't sit right in my eyes.

I also think I've set my heart on a 2.8 or a Z4, I just know that if I compromise now I'll regret it and I'd have all of this again searching for a 2.8 in the summer. There's a couple of nice looking 2.8 around so I'll take a look at them. There's also a Z4 at the right money so I'll take a look at that as the 2.5 is 192bhp which is enough.
