HI Foggy and welcome from Somerset, where are you based ? and what Z3 have you got ?. From what I can see the part number ends in 66 as Sopers say mwpe pressed the wrong number I think.
As has already been said lots of good chaps on here with plenty of knowledge and help. Good luck Geoff

Hello Geoff, I agree and just emailed Sopers to make some progress, but with respect to Grumpy I felt I should defer to his wisdom and keep him in the loop also.
I can see that much help is available here and should have joined age's ago, when I get out from under the car I will add some details to my profile, but for now It's a Z3 2.2i 2002 Silver grey, Blue leather interior and chrome trim. Love it.
Thanks a ton for the assist, most useful, Foggy

G'day Foggy, from Queensland, Australia. (sometimes pronounced Stray-ya)
G'day cobber, thanks for the welcome, I was on holiday in your fall down in New Zealand, One thing I noticed was that the cars down there do not seem to rust as much as in the UK, mentioned it to a petrol head and was told that they do not salt the roads.
is it the same in OZ, because I was really upset at the thought of some of my cars that went to an early grave due to rust.
All the best Fogy

Why would we salt the roads? Have only driven through snow once in 70 years. I live inland, up in the mountains where cars don't rust and women age slowly. Of course the cars on our massive coastline rust like mad. Have seen 5 year old cars you can poke tennis balls through. Mate, we have autumn down here. No falls -- autumn. We no how to spel to.

Hi folks and all petrol heads, I bought my Z3 in 2002 brand new and ordered it in the colour and trim which I wanted. This made the car very special to me and I am proud to drive it,
Never had a new car before but fell in love with the good look's of the Zed 3, So when I heard it was to be discontinued I went ahead and bought mine. new 18 years on I am replacing the four panel which are rusting from inside with new OEM part's.
I am desperately in need of the four plastic rivets which hold up the rear bumper assembly via a key-hole slot device as the back 1/4 panel was not supplied with them also how in all all heck do you get them into a hole 1/2 their diameter ?

Any help much appreciated, also new to Forums of any sort so please excuse any gaff's
Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey...................Frankie
