Hi @Dean Netherwood, and welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Glad to have you with us. I have a '96 1.9 myself. Don't worry about learning about how to post on this website. My computer learned very well what to do after I screamed at it a few times. There' s big meet of many of the members on Sept. 11. Contact @t-tony about attending it. I promise you that you won't regret it and will have a wonderful time. Bring the wife if there is one. It's a great feeling to pull into a parking lot filled the the same cars as the one you're driving. I can't tell you how VERY friendly everyone is in the forum. Before long, you feel as if you've know them all for years. I was at this meet last year and had a really great time. Depending on where you live, there are several members that are forming mini-cruises from their area to get to the White Swan in Torksey Lock. You might even get into one of them from your area. What a great start to your relationship in the forum. Everyone will be glad to have you. Can't make it myself this year as I don't have the cash for the flight at the moment. Don't delay. Get in touch with @t-tony today. He's a great guy and you'll know you did the right thing as soon as you contact him. Frankie

Hi frankie, thanks for the welcome and good advice. Its a few years since we my wife and I were in New Jersey. Its a bit of a drive from the UK. I think I will need to feel my feet a bit before venturing to rallys or cruises. But it sounds good.

Dean, I looked on Google earth and saw that you were about 50 miles from Lincoln which is very close to where everyone is meeting. It's not a rally or a cruise. Many members are getting together to socialize with some drink and food. Many of the members like yourself have never met many of the other members. It would be like you meeting me. We're talking on the forum but we've never met in person. And that's the way it goes. Everyone's just milling around introducing themselves and getting surprised at...well I've spoken to you and now I know what you look like.
VERY INFORMAL. There will be quite a few that do know each other. You will feel right at home almost immediately. Once you start talking to others, you'll see that we're mostly like minded people. There will be many people you'll feel comfortable talking to right away and many have brought their wives. Just PM (conversation tab) @t-tony and talk to him and you'll feel good about everything right away. Frankie

Hi Frankie, yes were noy too far from Lincoln, when is the meeting? and is there a set place to meet? Most of my weekends I am tied-up scuba diving and teaching others but.........
