Hello Jim and thank you. What part of Canada as I've been a couple of times
I'm just outside of a small French Canadian town, St. Georges, NE OF Winnipeg, Manitoba by about 120km. Lovely part of the country being as we have the Winnipeg River running behind my house and a twenty min drive to Lake Winnipeg which has some world class beaches. Also the boreal forest north of here. Where have you been in Canada, as you know it's huge!! JIM

Welcome from Nottingham. Looks a nice Z4. Has the roof motor been relocated to the boot, if not then i would suggest getting this done as water ingress into them is common and can cost around 1k to fix. Relocation costs around £85. Also recommend getting the Gaptec roof module fitted if you have not already got one. Closes and opens the roof off the key with 3 presses and the inside button is a one touch option instead of having to keep your finger on it

Not sure about all the new things, I'm trying to keep it as natural as possible

I would definitely get the roof motor moved, it is a very poor design by BMW on the Z4s as the drain holes get blocked and where the roof motor sits fills up with water. Prevention is better than cure. Its not an upgrade it is something BMW should of done in the first place

I had mine done up in Durham and had a run out with the some of the lads up there off the Z4 forum. It takes him less than an hour now i believe. At least i now know i wont be getting a big hefty bill for the roof motor

I'll be headed out west sometime soon to visit my Mom and sister and family. Long drive from here but good hiways all the way. She's in Cochrane just west of Calgary. Hope you enjoyed your stay in the Rockies. I love them dearly but nothing compared to the Alps which I've had the good fortune to travel many years ago. JIM

Come for a visit, not a lot to spend money on once you're here but plenty to do! Also your £ is pretty strong against our $Cdn right now which is why I'm not in the UK even though people keep asking when I'm coming over for a visit! One day I hope! JIM
