Hi and welcome from near Lincoln, this site is probably the most social car forum anywhere. Loads of events, meets and cruises throughout the year. Also many helpful members who go the extra mile to help out those who sometimes don't have the skills needed to do their owns repairs and maintainance for what ever reason. There's often some friendly banter too. Please post us some pictures of your car and tell us a bit about yourself and where you are located etc.

Afternoon Tony thank you for the welcome, I have a silver Z4 2.5 pictured to the left. I have owned this car or just over 12 months. I currently live in Worcestershire. A shame I didn't know that a few weeks ago as they're available in the USA . I haven't seen one for sale on here yet (I got my Z4 just over a year ago) but I'm fairly confident you don't need a BMW one, just one to fit the CD player in your car.

This is the type fitted in my car, I wasn't too bothered about playing CD's to be honest but it was missing as was the SatNav disc so I wanted them to be complete. I bought the cassette from a breaker in Tampa, Florida for about $25.
I did fit a cable which you can buy to plug into the back of the original head unit to allow you to play an MP3 player through the stereo. I recently retro fitted a steering wheel with multi-function buttons too.

Tony, seems that most spares are more accessible from the USA than here for Z4
