Hello there. I think it's time to introduce my little shoe to the community.
I'm a long time member from Winnipeg, MB, Canada. But I was always in the shadow
I'm now driving my z3 and enjoying every moment.
The car is a 1999 Japanese import z3 coupe 2.8 auto with about 100000 miles.
I had this car for over a year and decided to drive it finally.

Little story about the car.
Purchase it locally in my province from a fellow who wanted to replace it with a small pick up truck. Sadly for him and luckily for me, he had no idea of the value or any appreciation for the car.
So I drove 2 hours in the middle of winter to go see it with a friend. At first i was a little disappointed when I arrived and looked at the car for the first time.
The car was very neglected, but in an okay shape for me to give it the needed TLC it deserved after running my head for an hour of negotiations.
Plus the car ran, drove and was fun to drive around because it was in the middle of winter.
So I decided to take the gamble and buy it.
But first im not a novice when it comes to bmws and cars in need of a second chance.
Plus what worst could happen, the car was cheaper than a running, none rusted tercel in my area and it's a rare car here in canada.
So that's where the journey with the coupe started.
It was a fun and long process to bring her back to what the should have been at first, because i had 3 other projects going at the same time. But she's finally ready and I agree 100 percent that i had to give it some love and appreciation.
Voila now it's running, looking, driving 20200628_110946.jpg
beautiful and stronger than ever.

Hi and welcome from me in Oxfordshire. Nice example you have there. I don’t know if you have had it up in the air yet to check the underneath as I’m under the impression that Japanese models have no underseal protection as you stated it was a little neglected. You’ve certainly made the topside nice.

Thank you. And Yes I had the vehicle up on a lift and did lots of work on the undercarriage. No spot weld problem or subframe issues. All the leaks have been addressed and she's completely rusted proofed.
