New Z3 owner. Recently bought a W reg 2.0I roadster.Love the car ..Is it normal to hear a whistling sound as you accelerate through the gears?

It its pretty loud then maybe the previous owner fitted one of those stupid turbo-waste-gate sound-efffect things.

If its a background fairly quiet thing then maybe a split air pipe or seal somewhere around the air intake
