Sounds very nice but I'll let him fill you in with the details :)

It took him 18 months to find what he was looking for ;)

Had a jolly in a "Tonka" , was a trainer as well , fantastic ! Not so great when they go wrong though, long night shifts !
I'd give my right arm for that. Missed out on a jolly in a T4 Harrier as some clown dropped his necklace down the seat:mad:

Seat out job in the field, armourers not HP:whistle:

Hi Shelly, yes the search finally came to an end, like you travelled all over, was told every car was immaculate and most were below average, then finally found a 60+ year old car enthusiast in Surrey who was one of the nicest chaps I have met. He also owned a vintage MG, 1960s Mini Cooper and a TVR. So when he told me it was excellent condition he wasn't lying. It is a 3.0 manual in Sapphire Black with an immaculate cream leather interior, 65k with full history, hood pump has been replaced in 2009 by BMW. Just need some different alloys as they are the less popular Turbine 106, I like the CSL style. All is good at minute but like every new car I am holding my breath a bit at minute. Only thing needed is fresh MOT which I'm getting done early on Monday, fingers crossed !
All the best
Mark

They should have got a decent trade ! , mind you the one time in 22 years I dropped something in cockpit I had to do that dreaded walk into the Armourers hut and tell them, not good ! , you never make that mistake again.

They're on the low pay band now, angry would be the understatement of the Century. One of my lads pulled the man sep on a GR5 out in the field ....... oops=)) brown trousers moment :wideyed:

I'm glad you got you Z Mark @Texaroo :p
Hopefully you will be able to make it to some of the meets :)
Great bunch of people on here ;)

That really is out of order, in all honesty they look after the gear that gets the jockey out if all fails, hell of a responsibility, all aircraft trades should get the same like when I was in mob. Was bad enough when blanket stackers and shinies got their tapes and got same money as techies, what responsibility have they got and the repercussions of things going wrong, a leave pass goes missing, wow, ground the fleet ! Happy days though, you still in ?

Nah, ejected in Jan 07 after 23 years. Great times and would do it all again, though I couldn't drink, fight and run like I used to. Went to AWE for 5 years and now up at Sellafield still doing the Fire Bobby thing, just no kites :( agree on the blanket stacker and scribblys.

That's quicker than Bono, he's still looking =))

Hi anyone got a good cleaning guide with pics for roof drains, I have seen many links to shipkiller but is a broken link. Be good if I can do this ASAP.
Cheers
