Would it be bad form to ask 'what's the damage for one of these bad boys and how long will you get out of it?'

75k ..5 years 0% but we had a good deal on our old one which was 4.5 years but the low finance was ending now so we had to bite the bullet and hope we’re still in business

Now living in a huge farming area I see far to many tractors on our roads! We have Strawsons farmers just down the road from us who provide all the carrotts and parsnips to Morrison's supermarkets. I know zilch about them but I do know that Fendt tractors are green and Massey Ferguson are red. Is that a Fendt Hugh :D

Damn.... you got it muddy already =))

Not that bad then for the size.

Many years since Deutz tractors first started to appear round here, late 60's if my memory serves. There was another make which appeared about the same time that a local land drainage company bought but I can't recall the name.

Tony.

I'd be more impressed Hugh if it was a soft top :meh:

:D:D

I'm happy to report that I'm no longer a tractor virgin and took to the controls of this bad boy under close tuition from Hugh. Very hi-tech, with 2 throttles, 2 clutches and featherlight controls. One of the highlights of our week in Wales. I was smiling like a dog with 2 dix =))

They've certainly moved on since I worked on them as an apprentice in the 70's Garry. Fergys had 3 speed, high/low box and Multi power. Hand and foot throttle. =))

Tony.

Isn’t is pronounced trakkar in some parts?

Nice bit of kit is that. Very high tech.
I worked just up the road from the Ford (now New Holland) tractor plant in Basildon. Big and blue sums up my knowledge of them....

It is very advanced but is not the really high tec model that has satellite control and fully auto more for arable applications.this was the first tractor i drove and too many hours on them is why I’m now deaf in one ear and Sarah says I have selective hearing in the other lol
