Is that reply aimed at my question? If so thanks for the reply.
Yep, should have done the quote thing but seem not to have bothered. Laziness? Stupidity? Take your pick.

Paid £360 for Kumhos for the Z4 through black circle seem a good tyre road noise grip etcIve just priced up a set of Avon ZZ5 with black circles £400. Anyone have any feedback before I take the plunge?
Are the tyres of a type where you could fit them to the opposite side of the car and wear the other edges of the tyres?
Tony.
since fitted in July 2013
I have been using various types of Falken for the last twenty years or so, and rate them highly - better than the Pilot Sports the car had when new. They are good value, great hooligan tyres, and with the Strong Strut body and butt strut braces, I get at least 20,000 miles from the rears, without much edge weardown.
I was once told by a BMW Car Club tyre snob that it was 'Folly to fit budget tyres to a powerful RWD car.' I noticed that his M3 wore Dunlop tyres, so took delight in telling him that Dunlop were owned by the same company as Falken . . . retreat of the tyre snob!

Back in my days of dealing with tyres around 5-6 years was considered enough. It's not just a ploy to sell more tyres, y'know, I've seen plenty of tyres with loads of tread left that went bang under normal driving conditions due to age.
