Good point, well made Pauline!!Can I say it before anyone else, will that really be an issue lol
I'm going for Eagle f1's as I need a full set.
I've heard good reviews.
Are they good wearing tyres as well @peteslag ?
Well really Pauline, how very dare you!Can I say it before anyone else, will that really be an issue lol
Just read that vred ultracs are fabulous grip in the dry but poor in the wet and not the best at stopping. So, only dry weather and no stopping it is!They last ages, very hard wearing tyre.
I had contact sport 5's on my megane just to try something different. They were no better than the f1's in terms of grip and only lasted 6000 miles of mostly motorway driving and one track day. Utter rubbish!
They were great tyres Ian just the wear lets them downJust read that vred ultracs are fabulous grip in the dry but poor in the wet and not the best at stopping. So, only dry weather and no stopping it is!
That raises the question - what do you do when you buy a care when they have already been changed? How would you know?i spoke to my tyre supplier friend about changing from run flats to "normal" tyres when the time comes and he said beware the insurance implications. You are going away from how the car was built and you may need to notify your insurer you have changed the spec!
