Should I?

Shouldn't I?

I've always liked TT's, I've owned two in the past, this one looks like it'll be a monster of a car.

Direct comparisons for me are,

1. Used Cayman S with PASM, sports exhaust, extended leather, 6 cylinder for around £50k, maybe up the budget slightly for a GTS.

2. Slightly used Alfa 4C for around 45k but I'm worried about the auto box packing up.

I don't mind a bit of friendly abuse so all opinions welcome.

The brown Z3 would be staying of course, that'll be getting passed down to my daughter.

Be rude not to really. Purely on looks (which is how I would buy);

Alfa 4c as it's a honey of a car

TTRS

Cayman

But being a Porsche I'm supposing it would be the best engineered and put together?

I do think the newer TT's are more aggressive looking than there feminine looking predecessors. Just my view of course.

Good luck.

I love the look of the current TT, I wanted the coupe tdi when I finally decided my Z3 coupe wasn't suitable fir a growing family.

The rs styling is fantastic, but...... From that list the alfa 4c really does look like a special car, no idea of the performance etc if each of your choices.

But for rarity and looks gotta be the Alfa!

I agree, I think they've got the styling right now.

My previous TT's were both mark ones, I didn't really like the mark twos.

I sat in a TTS today at Audi, it really is nice inside, the first TTRS customer cars are due March 1st I'm being told, demos will be arriving at the dealers in November.

It was friendly banter, suppose they know me better as I've been on that one 7 years or so.
Oh right, thought you meant you got a hard time. That's OK then.

I've joined many forums over the years, and left many that were unfriendly.

This one is great, friendly, and very helpful people. The other great one is VX220.org, another great bunch.

Better to go with your no.1 choice - Cayman, GTS spec. Will hold the value a lot more and certainly fun especially now they have dropped the 6 cylinder for the 4 turbo. Prices are already more than a new one :)

TT are like the old xr3 's

The 220's are great but not the real thing of course  ( I do know some vx owners too ;))

Yes, and they've upped the power to 400 bhp
There's an RS3 at our office and it sounds bloody marvelous. For that alone I'm in.

You can get a Haldex controller to tune the 4wd to be a bit more responsive (on older TT's anyway).
