He's a marmite character is Chris Evans. Show looks OK so far for me, be mad to change the format much.
 
Main gripe is too little reaction from the crowd in the studio, no atmosphere, maybe it'll get better.5 out of 10 from me.

I feel it is a little weak, Chris seems to be waiting for something but never came. Very choreographed a bit dull.
Matt a little lost.
 
Agree - zero crowd involvement. CE like a puppy too eager to please. Early days yet. The BBC need the world wide revenues that TG attracts. They will tune it over coming weeks and months. First they should turn down the volume on CEs mic. Maybe to zero.
 
It was better than I thought it would be. The format was OK, not to far from JC's. Thought Matt Le Blanc did a better job than Chris Evans. I shall be tuning in next week. 6/10 from me.
 
Oh, and the "stars" were hopeless I reckon. Find some better ones please.

CE needs to calm down and stop shouting.

Show Needs a resident comedian to inject a bit of humour.

I might watch it again, might not.
 
So much like trying to be like old top gear, should have been new format

Personally I thought it was OK. They kept the format cos it needed to be evolution not revolution, but I agree there are faults. CE's voice seemed to grate and get lost in the melee & I'm a fan of his radio show. The crowd involvement was poor & the chemistry was lacking although i know it exists between Le Blanc & CE. Great to see Sabine on the show. Always thought she was awesome!

But my wife and son (13) both loved it. She said the Clarkson shows had become boring and formulaic... I guess Clarkson is marmite too! Her verdict was "they smashed it".
 
So decided to watch it this morning had to turn it off after 25mins as found it boring and CE voice just irritated the hell out of me. Wont be watching it again
 
I though Matt Leblanc was pretty good, but Chris Evans just tried to imitate Clarkson, plus they were using him (JC) to get a laugh... All of the stuff that got Jeremy Clarkson the sack happened months ago.

I agree with @smiffy the show needs a comedian or something maybe John Bishop or something? He seems to be into cars and is much more likeable than Evans.

On a positive the films were still very good, the studio however needs a little work.
