I am currently getting water in the trunk of my 2001 Z3 convertible. After some research & some basic testing on my part I have come to the conclusion that it is the infamous sealing frame part # 51718398104. However this part is out of stock & no longer being produced. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? thanks

Could also be, high-level brake light (known problem) or rear light seals.

Welcome on board.

Hi and welcome from me in north Oxfordshire, England. Have a read of this if it is your frame but doubtful unless it’s been disturbed for some reason.
