Hi just joined the forum. Although I’ve had BMWs for years I've just purchased a Z3 2.8 which is currently an MOT failure but couldn’t see it broken so have decided to rescue it. There’s a lot of work to do “see failure report on DVLA for reg number R982 RLY” but I’m up for it. First main job is replacement of both rear trailing arms and the welding. Regards Steve

Hi Steve welcome to the forum. We have a few resident breakers on here that may have all the parts you need for a suspension rebuild. I haven't seen trailing arms as bad as yours. I wouldn't try to repair those, they look a bit sorry for themselves. One big consolation though is these little cars are quite easy to work on and you can ask any questions you may have and there will be someone on here who can help you

Hi and welcome from Surrey, that is quite a project but I wish you all he best with it. The Z3 is a great car to work on and you shouldn't have trouble finding the parts. :welcome:

Hi Steve and welcome from me near Lincoln. Jeeze those rear arms maybe should have failed a couple of years ago. Never seen any that bad. Where are you located please?

Tony.

:welcome: from Glasgow, Scotland. Hope you can find some salvageable trailing arms to swap in or are you thinking of spot welding in new metal to the affected areas?

Hi Tony I’m based in Nottingham but travel to Newport Wales and Middlesbrough regularly so could collect if required. The car is a one before me, covered 170,000 miles and has full bmw history. The interior Is in very good condition and even has the original stereo and changing unit in the boot ( not planning on changing it as it works fine.

Hi, never seen arms like that, first speed bump would finish them off! I have a pair if you are interested, I live just down the road from you at J23 and will charge the same as Harrys which I have put in a PM to you.
