Thank you all for your warm welcome. This is my first Z4, and though I grew up in a household where BMW was always present from my father's 1965 1800 until 1979 when he sold his last BMW a 1976 Bavaria, this is my first time owning a BMW. At 55, this is my mid life car.

I think you've waited long enough then Sean. I was 53 when I got my Z3 and 59 when I got my Z4. Where are you located please?

I am writing from sunny San Diego in southern California. Looking forward to many years of top down driving up and down the coastline in my Z4. Currently car is in garage getting new set of tires, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

I would love to drive that coastal highway Sean, I admit to having feelings of jealousy . Having said that I would love to take my Z4 to our home in Florida. too. We have "made do" with a Mustang now and again.
I trust you haven't been troubled by the wild fires that are burning there now?

Welcome to the forum, Sean, from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. I guess we are among the very few forum members that have driven a Z in San Diego. I must add another member to that though, and that would be a sheep rancher from Wales in the UK , @miller1098 . I was in Wales several years ago to visit the members of the forum. While there, they generously gave me spirited tours of the UK in their Zs---sorry over there---Zeds. I was so impressed with the Z3 ///M that after returning from the UK, spent several months looking for one over here and found it in San Diego. @miller1098 flew over from Wales to Philadelphia where I met him and after several cheese steaks we flew to California to purchase the car and drive it back to New Jersey via several tourist stops and one police stop. You have a great looking Z4 and I hope you enjoy both it and our forum as they are a great bunch of guys (and girls) ......Frankie
