New Steering Wheel

I expect, very shortly, to give in to the temptation to order a refurb steering wheel from Royal. The existing wheel is hard and too thin for my liking- it just seems wrong to have a wheel in the Z3 which is much less enjoyable to use than the chunky effort in my daily Mazda 6.

My Zed is Cosmos black and has the tan interior. In an ideal world, it would perhaps have a different colour interior and perhaps that will change one day....

For now however- it is tan. My plan is the Nappa Leather, with perforations at the sides. My question is about stitching. I like the idea of something a bit showy- but with the tan interior, red and blue stitching is perhaps not a good match. Does tan stitching work or does it just look odd. Any thoughts folks?

How about the bottom segment in tan coloured leather and then tan stitching , just a thought

My car is Montreal Blue with a Beige & Black interior.

Nappa leather is too smooth for me. I went for pattern leather with bright blue stitching.

The stitching then compliments the paint colour.

Car is black- so I cant pick stitching to pick out the paintwork against a black wheel. That blue looks nice though.

Hadnt thought of tan leather sections- has potential.

If you're thinking of changing the interior you need to think long term though?

Tony.

Pretty sure @Antm72 did his wheel mixed tan? Or has my memory failed me again, if he did perhaps a photo??

On my Silver Z3, I have a red and black interior. I used some spare red leather from a door card to cover the steering wheel tabs.

Had a short drive.

Best bang for buck expenditure on the car to date. It makes such a difference to how it feels to drive. Highly recommended.
