My work (and consequently me) use this stuff:

You need to blast it through a proper gun but I've always found it excellent. Did the inside of all my panels with it and also the complete inside and underside of my Golf as you can paint over it when it's dry

I'm the opposite to Sean in that I don't like the stuff that stays sticky, just doesn't seem right to me but each to their own and all that, we all have preferred products

I only use the sticky stuff for the rears of panels that will not be seen, I use a similar product to the above for the underside of vehicles

I need to do the same with my new panels so watching this with interest. I've heard good things about Dinitrol

Dinitrol is another product I've seen, too many choices.

you could have taken the one series muppet .... seats fold down

Bring it round then when you come to collect them ready to be fitted

There was a nice M4 in the showroom they would quite easily fit in, you could have lent me your credit card instead of the 1 series. And I wouldn't even need to use your diesel.

Yes I put new sills on the Imola when it went for respray and they put the stone chip on the sills before spraying them.

Did the insides also get treated?

Some feedback on POR15. I used this on the Coupe a couple of years ago following the instructions. You're not supposed to paint over the top as it impairs the product

Well the diff case hasn't really adhered properly at all which is disappointing. I can also see its flaked away in other places so will need doing again....

For painting onto bare metal, in my experience alone, I've found that Vactan is very good.

So POR15 is not the magic formula I was beginning to think it was, ........what with everyone seeming to state they are using it nowadays.
I will stick to old school Hammerite, Waxoyl and Kurust.

The proof of the pudding etc etc. Can't beat real life experiences mate. That's 2 people disappointed with POR15.

I have Hammerite [even comes in colour now] and Kurust.
The other useful [but very heavy] tin on garage floor is Cold Galv for the gate.
As said previous I had the Waxoyl hot applied at a local company.

I have also found that silver Hammerite (smooth) is a very close match for Titanium silver and is ideal on the edges of sills and wheel arches.

Thanks mate, I didn't mean treat the inside with stone chip just wondered if they had been treated with some sort of rust prevention. Another thumbs up for good old waxoyl then

Back of mine on both Z's where done with a schultz sealer, its like a tar substance and lasts forever, the bodyshop will do it for peanuts and they will probably advise it anyway, once fitted the cavities can then be waxoiled
