Hi all I’ve just bought a 1999 1.9 z3 generally good condition but needs a new roof so a trip to Swansea on the cards , also the central locking is not working you can only open drivers door with key & the boot only opens with key the passenger door only opens from inside. Any help much appreciated .

Door actuator or the boot loom may have a broken wire?

Grumps is right had same sort of problems, repaired broken wires in the loom of doom where it bends when shutting and replaced both actuators. One of the chaps on here that break Zs may still have some ie: spursfan, davehoggy, Mrscalex plus others I cant think of at the moment. Geoff

No I’ve haven’t had time yet teaching my daughter to drive at the moment oh the joys lol

HaHa got mine to have lessons at driving school
When you get time look at the loom of doom in the boot. You will have to remove the black rubber sheath to expose wires at the bit that bends and I bet you will find broken wires as I did.
