NEW OWNERS

Have become the grease monkey for my wife's newly purchased Z3, a 1999 2.8L in red. Owning such a machine is all new to us but looking forward to having a totally impractical car that we can't get the grandkids in. So far so good but any advice welcome as I haven't played with cars for many years going back to my M reg Capri with black vinyl roof. Do still have my old tool kit though bought by my mates for my 18th birthday.

Thanks for the welcome, now busy trawling the web for source of clicking noise from passenger side headlight.

Hi and from Surrey, could you explain a bit more on the clicking noise, could be height adjuster motor.

Rapid clicking sound from somewhere behind passenger headlight a bit like relay interaction. Have just had headlight covers cleaned and polished and had not noticed noise before but then you have to be outside the car to hear it. I was heading towards adjuster but cannot see anything for what I think is the air filter. Also have waited for dark to see if adjusters work. Something is moving but not sure if both sides are.

I had the same clicking noise on my off side headlight.
Changed the motor for a good condition used one and problem solved .
