Thought I would introduce myself and provide details on how I became a Z3 owner. I recently purchased a 2002 Black sapphire-metallic Z3. 3.0 roadster with ivory interior and optional hardtop. It has 17k miles on it. The hardtop has never been installed and actually has never been out of the cover it came in. Owned by a friend of my dad who used it at his vacation home in New Mexico. Eventually moved to his vacation home and needed to make room for his daily drivers - so called me and asked if I wanted to buy the Z3. It is basically in almost new condition. I have only driven it once because of the weather - but -pan to break it out in the spring. Photo below.

Welcome from down here too, I really do like that spoiler and often wondered if they do anything to help with wind deflection, rather than a sheet of perspex or whatever.

Welcome 505Z3.
Yep Tony does resemble my old Z3, that spoiler on mine came from USA where they were once sold by BMW but now only available from company that make a replica.

So a little more info. The gentleman I bought it from purchased the car new in West Texas (( am now the second owner) He said the spoiler was on the car when he bought it. Does that make sense? Was it a dealer installed option or from the factory?

Btw. It is an automatic. Here is a pic of the interior

Could've been a factory option or a dealer installed either way not a common sight. Looks like Lotus White leather too, again a fairly rare, but very nice interior colour.

Tony.

Beautiful, but would be better without the spoiler! No practical use and 'spoils' the gorgeous retro lines of the Z3. Opinions!! :D Welcome from Derby, UK.
