recently purchased a low mileage z4. drove first time this week all is well. pulling original potenza run flats as they were made in 02. replacing with Firestone firehawk indy. own a repair shop so a hoist is available. the drain hole on the nonmotor side is visibley seen and easily cleaned. the one on the motor side can't even be seen with a remote camera from top. easily accessed from underneath. am considering not reinstalling the drain as it seems to be protected. has anyone tried this.

I would replace the drain just make sure it's clear. You can use an endoscope via a smartphone app to look up the drains.

ps. Mine (2003 3.0i) was a low mileage car when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago with 16,500 miles on the clock. It's now on 34,000. Mine also still has those horrid runflat tyres but they're almost worn out and will be replaced with Winter tyres on the Turbine style wheels ready for next winter.
