New old Z4 Owner

Hi @Steve W and welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. You're right about most of the members being from the UK. A really great bunch of guys. I was over there in the UK on 2 separate occasions to meet with them and they all treated me like family. I was curious about your hometown and looked it up on Google:

Wow!!!!!! NO STOPLIGHTS!!!! You just made everyone on the forum very jealous of you wishing they lived in your neck of the woods. I used to live in Philly which had the distinction of having more traffic lights that any city in the world. ( I don't know if that record still exists.) I have met @t-tony and plan to go down to see him in 2 or 3 days. Want to go for a ride?
In the mean time, you can search craigslist for parts for your car. I remember seeing a few sites that had nothing but Z parts. Take a look there and also e-bay. Frankie

Remsenburg seems a well-kept secret on Long Island. Most people seem to be unfamiliar with it and I hope it stays that way. The only commercial business in Remsenburg is the local post office. And it's true that there are no traffic lights here, just a lot of stop signs.

Regarding the parts I need for my Z4, I've been looking on Craigslist and eBay and will continue to do so. In the meantime, I'm enjoying life with my new old Z4.

Hi from Canada Steve. You might try going to one of your nearby wreckers that have an inventory list from a very large group of wreckers from all over America. They can punch your request into their computer and it will search out a wrecker in the group which has the part you require. If it is found there is a good chance that you can order the part directly at that point. Also, some wreckers are on the net. Search google for a list close to you. Those that work together are usually grouped together so may make your search simpler!! HTH. JIM

Big problem though, is getting someone to take apart a good seat to sell the rear trim panel. It doesn't happen here in the UK, you want part of a seat, you have to buy the whole seat.
