Thanks it's taken me 2 days to do it all I've got 2 bags of old nuts and bolts from on top and below, but the difference is absolutely worth it, it just looks like a new car I do have a couple of other things I need to sort out like the head cover the silver paint has faded badly, but once I've got that done I will be happy, it's just hard to paint or spray because of the black and silver, my head is doing overtime over it

Could you not spray it black then sand it back on the raised silver bits and polish ?or is it plastic

Unfortunately it's plastic I'm thinking do it all silver both sides then paint the bmw bit black

You could give it a go and if not happy spray it black again.

Yeah your right I've given the black z3 all my time as its my daily drive, but I also have a 1.9 z3 and the engine bay area is the total opposite to yours so that will be my next venture to get it to the same condition as yours, very nice looking
