Passed mot this week. New rear discs and pads plus front ball joints. Also had a service done. I have an advisory on front shocks so something to keep me busy in the next few months. Will probably attempt them myself after doing the rears. Although no mention of the rear shocks on the mot I think 24 years is probably getting on a bit. Plus they look fairly easy to replace.
I will stick with the sachs shocks as they have lasted 24 years.
