Greetings from New Zealand
Iāve just joined the group after purchasing my first-ever Z-roadster, a 2001 Z3 3.0i in Dakargelb 2.
Having been a BMW enthusiast for almost 30 years now, Iāve owned a good number and variety of Munichās finest over that time - including a couple of rare M-cars - but never a convertible or roadster.
My current daily driver is an ā02 E39 530i M-sportā¦have always loved the E39 chassis, build quality and of course, the sublime M54B30 engine.
My Z3 is a Japanese market car that was imported to NZ back in 2007, with around 41,000 kms on it.
15 years and three owners later, itās now done 131,000 kms and has had a few minor mods done along the way, including the addition of a strut brace and 18ā Beyern wheels, as well as a polycarbonate wind deflector. It still has the factory-original 17-inch alloy rims with it, too, and Iām debating over whether to go back to those, or to stick with the 18ās for now.
Iām currently going through the car with a fine-toothed comb, identifying any issues, making a list of parts needed, and removing any previously added āblingā that I donāt want - namely a plethora of ///M-logos, which I detest (no fewer than six of these removed so far!). The PO also decided to paint the side vent gills black, which Iām also not a fan of.
Looking forward to contributing on here if I can, and gaining any useful tips or DIY knowledge from the amazing Z3 community along the way.
Thanks for having me
Cheers
