Hi, My name is Richard and I am from Sheffield, UK. New to Z3 ownership. I recently purchased a 1997 1.9 Boston Green project car. Needs some work to get it to where I need it to be.

- Doors will not work with the key, have to lock and unlock from the boot. Central locking works from the boot.
- Various corroded pipes to be replaced
- Currently has a decat exhaust which will be swapped back to normal
- Lowered so being put back on standard springs
- Hood doesn't go all the way down from the electric switch
- The wheels will be swapped back to original BMW wheels. Got some Z Star
- The dreaded seat wobble. Got the fixing kit.
- Handbrake needs adjusting, looks like new brakes needed
- Alarm making strange sounds. Need a key fob.
- RUST !!!!! on sills and rear passenger wing

Already removed the after market "performance" air filter and put this back to the standard.

Not bad, considering the age. All in a day’s work for a Z owner!

Welcome!

Hi and welcome from London the electric hood does not open or close fully you have to do the last bit manually.
It should go down fully by itself. You just have to latch it to the top of the windscreen when putting it up
electrically, and unlatch it and give it a little push backwards when putting it down electrically.
