Good afternoon,

I've just acquired a 1999 z3 2.8.

Just hope the summer is a good one it have the top down.

Which leads to my first question, if anyone can help with a suggestion.....

The power hood does not appear to work and has been put into manual mode.

Does anyone know of any tips to resolve this problem please?

Many thanks
Karl

Welcome from Aylesbury :p
Are you putting your foot on the break to operate your hood?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know to do that, and the relays are clicking in the boot when I operate the switch, but nothing happens
Cheers

Have you switched it out of manual mode? Just asking
Also have you checked the ram is connected? passenger side of the roof, I have seen this problem before where its come off or been disconnected, the ram could be going up and down but not attached.

Welcome BTW

There is a micro switch in the hood that tells it you have lifted it, there is also a switch for the nrake pedal, either of these could be faulty
