Installed the gap tech upgrade on my z85 2.0 today. Simple to do although on first attempt blue connector did not cut through module power wire. Stunning upgrade very pleased. Bought my sapphire black 2006 se last month 45k miles and drives nicely. Now going through it. Need a high level brake lens and would like bluetooth bit it seems a lot of trouble?

Hi Jon, mine is an E85 Z4 in Sterling Grey 3.0i, if you've used those " connectors" to fit your Gap-Tech module then you may have more issues as they don't always maintain contact. By far better to solder the wiring and it is easy to do. If you're going to replace the 3rd stop light, get a clear one and fit this to it.

I got a clear light from the US as mine was chipped when I got the car, the decal is a nice upgrade. I am getting an order together for when I go to Florida soon if you would like one bringing back.

Welcome :)

Bluetooth can be a bit of a pain, there's a thread on here I wrote about my experiences with it. Also there are copies of the manuals in the Resources section if needed.

Third brake light breaking is common and usually down to two factors. First the screws are over tightened when fitted, and the second is continually shutting the bootlid to hard. So don't do either of those and you should be fine!
