I use a Mac and for some reason the selected photo is not accepted by the site. I will keep trying.
Welcome to the forum @Phil Dutton from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. If your photo was taked by a camera as opposed to a cell phone, it might be too 'dense' or loaded with pixels. You might have to reduce the size of it, not necessarly in physical size but in 'density'. If you find the photo in your files and right click on it, a window might pop up with the words 'Properties' in it. Click on that and see how many pixeles it is. Try to reduce it to something like 400x 600 and it will upload quickly. If it's something like 2400 x 3200, it is too much to upload and will not transfer or will do so for a few minutes and then be rejected before it's completed. You probably have software that comes with your operating platform (I have Windows 7) that will do the trick. If you need help, you can Google the question on how to reduce it or check it out on you-tube..................Frankie
PS. Also check the file type it's stored as. eg. The 5 Types of Digital Image Files: TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PNG

Hi, my wife thinks I am going through a 'latter life crisis' and I am sure I will need help to prove her wrong!
I have recently purchased a 1999 2.8 Z3 from a friend who has owned the vehicle since 2002. The vehicle was originally supplied by our local BMW Dealer, Knights, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, so I am the third owner. The car has done 38800 miles from new. I have enough history to be sure the mileage is correct. There is not much of a service history, I am not surprised when the car has done under 2000 miles in the last 5 years. The car generally looks great but I now need to know just how good it really is and what it is going to cost to bring it up to a high standard.
I am retired and have been in the fortunate position to be able to buy new cars for more than 30 years. It is many years since I worked on a car so I am unlikely to start tackling any serious work myself. I am hoping that you will be able to help so that I can learn from your experience as I no doubt start spending on the car.
I have never been a member of a club like this before so please be patient with me as I find my way around the site. I will try and load a couple of photos shortly. Phil.
Hi Phil just joined myself and happy to meet up but we may know each other already?image.jpeg image.jpeg

I stripped my z3 to a shell except for the engine that will be taken out this coming winter and restored to new condition.

There were a number of challenges but most was finding time.

The outer body was easy to strip and the only area of any rust that required attention was the inner front sill sections that are covered by on outer skin that is bolted on - I replaced both of these with new.

It's a very small world for like minded people who love the design and styling of a wonderful car.

I am happy to look at your car at anytime and advise but that said there seams to be a huge amount of advice on the site for us both to benefit from.

See you soon

Can I ask how you got the car up so high on the stacks of wheels?

2 poster ramp Dino initially then lowered onto the wheel/ tyre stack so the sills are then easily removed and the inner sills are visible.

Hi, my wife thinks I am going through a 'latter life crisis' (...)

Hello Phil and a warm welcome from Belgium.
Considering your description here above it looks like your ride has done less miles than the driver! :D

...just pulling your leg, welcome to the Family:thumbsup:
