New Member Intro

Good to be here! I have an ‘03 e85 2.5, “Merlot“, which is a fancy BMW name for dark red. It has a shade under 40k miles, but every day I seem to have more! I’m in NYC, so it isn’t a daily driver, but it was.

I brought it in ‘06 while living in Honolulu. Left in ‘08; drove it to the dock in Honolulu, picked it up in Oakland, Ca, and My 8 year-old and I took secondary roads to New York. We didn’t make good time, but sure had one!

Love to drive it. Sadly, I may love to work on it even more! I’m not much of a mechanic, and I have nowhere to work here in the city, but I do what I can, where I can, when I can.

Hi @Homey I agree Merlot is a cracking colour for the Z4, I was close to buying a 2.5 with cream interior before buying the one I have. Welcome from me near Lincoln,UK. @FRANKIE bought his Z3M from Cali and he and another member drove it back to NJ via an indirect route a few years ago. Enjoy your car when you can.
