Welcome from the middle of Canada! Love the colour! And, please no aluminium!! JIM
Thank you Jim, I think I'm swaying to a dark coloured centre console, either wood effect or maybe a piano black could look nice.

Welcome Tim from Wisbech in Cambs. Perhaps we will meet up at an EAC cruise. I am the passenger, my husband Richard (Macca) is the driver.

Hi Mary, looking forward to my first Z3 meet.

Went to Lotus one once and it wasn't very friendly.

I'm sure we can do better than that Tim;). The bar is set quite low by the sound of it:whistle:.

They were probably a grumpy old lot due to the un reliability of their cars.

After all, we all know what "L o t u s" stands for.

Maybe I'm being harsh, maybe I just caught them on a bad day, or maybe it was because I turned up in a Renault Spider instead of a Lotus, but I was invited...

Well there's quite a few of us that qualify for 'Grumpy Old Man Status' but we try not too be too grumpy on cruises=))=))

Well there you are then Tim, that'd explain it !=))=))
Seriously though, at my meet last September we had,

A Suzuki Swift (it was either that or a Rover 75;)), a Lotus Elise and a Skoda (piloted by our very own @FRANKIE) who you can see far left of picture in the brown coat, who had come all the way from the US to be there!

Looking forwards to this years meet now.

Tony.

That looked a good turnout, it's always good to talk to other owners, so much to learn.

I usually go to Harpenden car show in July time, that's a good one if anyones local to Luton.

Hello everyone,

What a great forum, I'll try and contribute as much as I can. Semi retired now so spend far too much time in front of my computer.

I now have a nice Impala brown Z3 in my garage, not everyones cup of tea I know.

Tim
Welcome to the forum from the other side of the pond. Frankie

just looked at the website as that could have been within range for a day trip, but exibitors cars have to be over 21 years old. Thats my Z out!

Welcome Tim and congratulations for the special brown color! Sorry for the late welcome but news travel slow in cold.
Enjoy the car and the forum!

Re the Harpenden classic car show.

That's a shame, I know the show has got very busy nowadays, maybe they had so many applicants they had to limit the numbers exhibiting.

Last time I went the queues were pretty slow to get into the car parks, if I go this year I'll probably go by train.

But well worth the visit.

Just a few pics from one of the shows.

Classics on the common, Harpenden.

As you can see, a bit of everything.

There was modern stuff there as well but it now looks like they've changed the rules to cars over 21 years old only. Shame because there were some lovely Ferrari's there.
