Hello,

That is something I would like to see.
I have build a cobra kitcar which is BMW E36 based as underpinnings, but the chassis is "purpose made".
I suppose what you are talking about is a panel refit, keeping the chassis.

There is nothing wrong with the Z3 chassis and it's underpinnings/engines/etc.
So very curious about the result.

....as always: it hasn't happened (or isn't happening) unless you have pictures :)

Welcome Anthony,

Been following your progress on your Facebook page for a few months now, and I thinks it's a really interesting project. It goes without saying that it won't be to everyone's taste of course, but from the pictures I've seen it should be a head turner like the Z3!

Cheers, Gary

kit cars can be quite collectable, the Marcos springs to mind
I had a Lenham le-mans GT, a Healey sprite based chassis and engine
I have a picture somewhere
Wish I had it now

I thought this was amazing after mentioning I had a Lenham Le-Mans Gt
This appeared in my inbox from barnfinds
http://www.barnfinds.com/never-finished-lenham-gt-project/
I had the roadster with a detachable hardtop
That brings back fond memories, I was 19 years old then

Footnote
I saw one at Silverstone the value was 20k+ a car I should have kept :bashhead:

I also once owned a 998 Austin Cooper and a Straight six Ford Zodiac at the same time
A Weekday and weekend car
What a poser then, a lot hasn't change lol just a lot older
