Hi,
I'm a new member recently purchased 2001 Z3 3.0i Auto Roadster, I'm pretty useless with PC's so bear with me regarding threads/links and what not.
I've attached a pic of my car which I need to obtain a insurance approved valuation in the event I ever write it off (heaven forbid).
My insurance company is valuing the car at 3.5k I paid 5k and have since had it re-sprayed, wheels refurbed etc etc...
I've been told it's current condition it worth nearer high 7k to 8k but need to prove this to insurance company, can anyone recommend engineering company that specialises in this?
Regards
Andy

That's going to be a difficult one Andy, your car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, that year will be listed as £3,500, no matter what has been spent on the car, but good luck and keep us all posted how you get on.

It's worth asking who your insurance company will accept a valuation from! You can try the BMW Car Club for a valuation, but I'm not sure what weight they actually carry these days.

Oh, and welcome :)

Point taken but I'd think you'd struggle to pick up the 3 litre Sports Roadster in any decent condition and mileage for 3.5k, I'll post results when I get them, thank you for reply TaftZee

Hi & Welcome.. Nice Zed:thumbsup: Sorry cant help with the valuation, personally I still wouldn't trust any insurance company to honour it, just my experience from years of being in the classic car brigade.

Thanks Nozed, the insurance company said they would increase the insured value of car based on professionally justified valuation which means engineer inspection and like for like comparisons of adverts, I just need to find engineer

I’ve checked with insurance company and they will accept a valuation from Julian Shoolheifer Ltd (easier to write than say)

Hi Andy and welcome from me near Lincoln. Hope you get good valuation on your car, has to be in the £8,000 range I would've thought. Great car.

Tony.
