Welcome aboard you have arrived at the best Z Forum for all things Z. Always help and advice on here and you will have members close by who will always offer assistance if you need it. Nearest Z Shed to you would be @Lee based in Basingstoke, renowned on here for his rear subframe rebuilds, you will find old posts on here showing his work. Loads of old posts on virtually everything else that fails on our cars so with a bit of research on here you will find a fix.

I bought my 2.8 Z3 new in 1998 and we just completed 60,000 miles and 25 years together.

Has anyone else here owned their Z3 since new…?

I’m here to chat to other owners, maybe find events to attend and compare notes on keeping enjoying Z3 motoring.

Roger
Hi Roger. Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. I didn't own my 2 Zeds from new but bought them used. A 1.9 from Maryland and a 3.2 from California..........................Frankie

Hi and thanks for your message...! I rarely used the car for 18 years but now I've retired and moved out of the City I plan to add a lot more miles.

Yours is a M Roadster...? I was torn between the M and 2.8 when I bought mine... I went for the 2.8 as on test drives it was lighter to drive... though I always lusted after the M lol...! How do you like yours?

Roger
Abdolutly love it Roger, I ve owned it since feb 2009. Unfortunately it’s been off the road for a few years as I’m doing a refurbishment on it. A bit frustrating 2023 with work cutting spare spends for the rest of the front end refurb as I won’t just use any too cheap parts that will be paying twice for in the long run and surprising how much nuts and bolts all mount up to. I’ve nearly got all my parts, you can see what I’ve done so far in my sig.

Hi Roger and :welcome: to the forum from me too in Stafford. Good effort not using her for 18 years. I've had my 2.2 for 13 years and she's now done 210,000 miles:whistle:

I have to admit I've not discovered the nice roads in West Sussex that you and several others here have mentioned... mainly because I moved here from London not very long ago.

I'm planning to explore the local countryside when the weather warms up a bit.

Do you have a favourite driving route through West Sussex?

Roger

Set the sat nav to avoid motorways and just go.
In no particular order a few routes I like:
Brighton to Dorking via Devils Dyke, Henfield, Cowfold.
A272 from Cowfold to Midhurst and all the way to Winchester. Don’t forget to check what’s in the shop Window at Lanzante near Petersfield.
Starting at Lanzante, go down to Goodwood via South Harting and Mid Lavant.
From Goodwood, head up north via the A285 to Petworth.
Midhurst up towards Milford on the A286.
Drop in to Torque Moto Cafe if you get a chance.
From Horsham, head south to Bluebird Cafe at Ferring on the A24.
Dorking to Newlands Corner on the A25

Lovely to see an original owner enjoying life with a roadster.
I remember when these cars were new and touring the factory whilst they were being built.
I suspect there are quite a few original owners around the world

Welcome from me in northwest USA. :welcome:

Thanks Esteban

I would've loved to see Z3s being built in Spartanburg ! I first saw Z3s in the US in 1996 when I was on holiday in Florida... I went to see the olympic torch relay go through Ybor City, Tampa, and there were a couple of Z3s leading the parade... I think that was when I decided I wanted my Z3... I ordered the Atlanta Blue colour as it reminded me of the '96 Atlanta Olympics... Great memories...! Thanks for reminding me of that...!

Best wishes

Roger

We went to the factory at Spartanburg last year and did the factory tour. Even though they only build SUV now it was still a great experience. And the Zentum was worth the entry fee alone.

Tony.
