I bought my 2.8 Z3 new in 1998 and we just completed 60,000 miles and 25 years together.

Has anyone else here owned their Z3 since new…?

I’m here to chat to other owners, maybe find events to attend and compare notes on keeping enjoying Z3 motoring.

Roger

Hi Roger and welcome from me near Lincoln. There are a few original owners on here. I know one of them, @ktnez99 (Dawn) her car is her “baby”.

Tony.

Yes, I have. First registered 4th August 1998. With about half your mileage.

Where are you located? There are several ZedSheds where owners can join other enthusiasts and knowledgeable doers who willingly help keep these cars going. A fantastic resource.

There are various run outs organised. Delve around and you will find.

Hi and thanks for your reply... I'm in West Sussex about 9 miles North of Brighton.

I'm looking forward to delving as you suggest

Hi Roger and welcome.
Yes, I’ve owned my Z from new when it was hand delivered to me on the 1st March 1999. Love it and never going part with it. Nice to “meet” someone else who shares this long term car love affair 😀

It's nice to hear from you. I always intended to keep my Z3 forever but every few years I scroll through Autotrader and imagine changing car... I never find anything that I would prefer to my Z3 though!

I never scroll!!! 😂 Why? Because it’s a lifelong love affair! 😂

:welcome: to the Forum from West Cumbria. That's a sterling effort that 👏 a mere 8 years for my Z3.

Thanks Andy I'm spending this afternoon looking through the forums here... finding lots of useful information and (hopefully) some tips on my faulty central locking, clunky gearbox and squeaky exhaust

Wow, same owner from new!

My 2.8 is also a 1998 build but I aquired it in 2011, so have had it 13yrs.
Also a keeper.

Hi there, we're in neighbouring counties then... I'm in West Sussex. 15 years is a good stretch and you've added 150,000 miles in that time...! Wow...! How've you managed to keep your Z3 going through so many miles !? I hardly used mine for 18 years... I retired and moved out of the City in the last few years and I'm planning on doing many more miles now.

Hi and welcome from me. Looks in lovely condition.
Hi and thanks for your message...! I rarely used the car for 18 years but now I've retired and moved out of the City I plan to add a lot more miles.

Yours is a M Roadster...? I was torn between the M and 2.8 when I bought mine... I went for the 2.8 as on test drives it was lighter to drive... though I always lusted after the M lol...! How do you like yours?

There are Zs about with more miles than mine, all they need is regular TLC. You have got some great roads down in West Sussex to enjoy. Check the forthcoming events topic.
