Hi Everyone

Interesting mod has anyone considered making the side lights LED daytime running lights and if so how would you go about it?

Regards

Jim
if you put LED bulbs in they technically are daytime running lights

I suppose you would want them fed by the ignition so they automatically illuminate when you start the car though?
And only wanting the front lights to be lit?

Tony.

Buy a drl relay and wire marker lights to it as long as headlamp has position lamp fitted.
My only other thought is if i was going to use the front marker lamp as a drl i would be wanting to up the light output a bit to be bright enough to use as a credible drl something like these could be a good option Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141026765683
I have them inthe front of my skoda and they are really bright.
I bought them because my skoda's front sidelight is quite big so lower output led didn't look bright enough so i reckon in the zed's marker lamp they'd look quite bright

That sounds like a plan, need to check my headlights first but I think I should be ok as mine is a face lift model. Thanks.

Jim its the face-lift model that doesn't have the sidelight holes you need to cut off the blanking plug

All the old Chrysler cars had was a plain black rubber grommet in the back of the headligh and a bulb holder which simply pushed into the grommet.

Ok clearly got the wrong end of the stick, so the markings are there but I will need to cut them out? Thanks for keeping me straight.

Jim
