Let me know when you want to come here. Perhaps i can look around for some of the places you want to see. I got an extra bedroom if its needed. If you look on Google earth, I'm right where the Garden State Parkway and the Atlantic City expressway meet. Frankie
I meant to tell you that we have had very little luck trying to pinpoint properties at Great Egg Harbor prior to 1760. Don't know much more than the "plantation" was owned by Jeremiah Addoms (Adams) before my family acquired it. They were whalers from Long Island so I'm not sure what they were doing down there.

At 68, you're tougher than I, that's for sure. I'm getting a knee replacement, to repair a 35+ year old motorcycle injury and hope it makes getting in and out of the Z a little easier. Getting very anxious to take it down from the jackstands.
Will be going that route soon as they told me at age 45 I needed one but I worked my a$$ off keeping it going as strong as I could! Thus the sidecar. Yes, get the zed off the jack stands and cruise it! JIM

Frankie, I didn't want to bother you last week. Figured you were busy. Did you survive the storm with little damage? Been wondering. I guess my friends on Long Island got slammed also.
It wasn't too bad because we got a little rain mixed in because we're near the coast. They got flooded right on the coast and Philly got nailed. Frankie

I saw on the news that they said the storm surge at the coast was bigger than when sandy hit Frankie. Hell of a mess to clear up again. Happy to hear your ok mate.

Tony.

What was the family name of your relative who acquired the property from Jeremiah Addoms? Frankie

My cousin in Brigantine didn't get his house flooded but they couldn't go anywhere until the tide went down. Frankie

Thanks again Frankie. Actually, my brother and I have concluded our decades of research (thirty years for my brother) and our compilation is currently at the publisher. We do have the inventory from the estate of my ancestor Henry Dayton for that property, when it passed to his son David in 1760. Things get really messy because there were other David Daytons close by, at the same time. David went back to Brookhaven, NY within two years. I was just curious to see the place, wondering what kind of farm it was.
