Just found your website and thought I would join. I have a 1999 Z3 2.0 import with 43k kms that's all original from factory. Always looking for information that can help me keep everything perfect. It is silver with black interior, some M options, 5 speed, 6 cylinder, never been damaged, winter stored. Just put it away but need to do some work this winter so may need some help. Hope you don't mind if I call on people now and then.

Ron

Welcome Ron!
It's a great car you bought!
A silver straight six with this mileage, will take you everywhere, with a big smile on your face!
Enjoy the car and the forum and winter (a frustrating season for most of us, living in the upper hemisphere), will pass easier!
Dan (another silver Zed owner)

Hi Ron, where are you in Canada!! Close to Winnipeg I hope! Best get a few pics posted up or they send the boys around! Enjoy the car, especially with such low milage, I hope you intend to drive the wheels off it and not keep it shut up in a garage!! No fun in that. JIM

Thanks for the greetings folks. I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on the prairies out west but still a fair drive from "oldcarman" in Winnipeg. Thankfully not usually as cold either. This car is an import from Japan that I bought through an auction 2 years ago. In decent shape but does need some work which I am just getting around to now. Mechanically very sound, low mileage, well maintained, just not driven much. I am trying to fix that neglect. Like all Japanese cars it has a Japanese radio/stereo which I would like to fix and keep if possible. Does anyone know if that is possible or does BMW use specific radios for Japan that only will allow low range FM? It is a s669a business rds set with cd unit in the boot.
I also have a 1997 - 528i and matching 1996 - 328i all bought the same way with the same problem. All low mileage and in excellent running order and condition that we use all year. We enjoy our BMW family but have the same issue with radios and not much luck in finding a solution. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks folks
