Off to have a new hood tomorrow at jack smith in swansea! Anybody used him?
My back window has gone and it's leaking at the top of the passenger window!!! Hope he can sort it out !
Plus it's snowing now ahhhh lol

Not heard of them specifically, but a quick Google suggests they are well like by the MX-5 fraternity. Either way, some piccies and feedback after your visit would be really helpful for the rest of us with tired roofs!

She's just gone in to have her new blouse bless her, wasn't until I seen all the new fabrics in the garage that I realised how tatty she was looking!
Seems a really nice bloke tho and had plenty of time to chat about what I wanted done and what he recommended :)

Cheers Dave, keep us posted please.:)

Tony.

Hi Dave Keeper,

Did you opt for black or blue ?

My hood is in good condition, the back window could with being replaced or a couple hours spent on it trying to remove scratches and clouding. Seem to have been lucky in buying a car with no leaks.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Picked up today fair play he kept it stored for me for a few days as I couldn't get down to pick it up because of the snow !
First impressions... Top job
Looks really really good nice and tight!
He said he sorted my rubbers as the two up by the window both had the holes ( you know what I mean lol)
Its not rained so can't check for leakage lol
Also did the inside :)
And the price was amazing
£280

Looks a very good job on the outside Dave, need to see daylight pics of inside I think to give a better opinion. Can't beat £280 though eh !

He did it all makes them from scratch! Just went booked with him said I need a new roof, about a month waiting list, job done :)

Looks like a great job at a bargain price

Does he only do installs or different colours. Both @t-tony and I are both looking for dark green. Is the rear window a zip in or stitched solid. Clear or tinted 40mm? Is the material the same as OEM mohair or a sailcloth type? Would you have a link you could post? Sorry, lots of questions!! JIM

He does different colours whatever you want as he makes them from scratch. the rear is stitched solid I think anyway, With Clear 40mm, the material is OEM mohair but like I said he makes them so can use or do whatever you want really!

Thanks, everywhere else I've checked out, and there have been many, in the USA want nearly double the money for green as opposed to black or tan. It's the same amount of work but I think it's no one stocks that colour. Does he put in the relief pockets and over window supports, etc. does he have a web site? JIM

Ok so we have had a bit of rain here and I've got a minimal drip on each side! Hardly anything really compared to when it was pi##ing in before!
Without a doubt it's my rubber seals tho :(
Apart from that it's fab and super tight :)
