I agree totally Andy but when things go wrong and cars go boom it's not a pretty sight! Saw way too many in our travels in Germany! But that said the Autobahns are awesome to drive! JIMHello and welcome @Biff from West Cumbria, England.Stutgart eh, received a text from my sister this afternoon who is touring Europe with her husband in her 3.4 Boxter on the Autobahn on the way to Stutgart doing 170 MPH!! Just love the unrestricted sections of Autobhan

North of Italy and South of France are a great choice, you can't be wrong with the mountain roads.
Because you mentioned your travel agency I will soon, kindly ask you some opinions, for a tour that I want to make with the Zed, this summer, in Germany...maybe related with the Romantic Road...

I live directly on the Wuerttemberger Weinstrasse, what means Wineroad, that´s close to the romatic road, which goes thru Rothenburg, I believe?
So if you come to our south, we have many great roads to go, and if you like to speed up, the autobahn from wuerzburg to heilbronn is the perfect place!
