Stalker.... you know too muchWelcome, these cars are animals, ever since I drove @gookah's I've wanted one and in carbon black. One day maybe, but the costs can soon add up running and maintaining one.
His wheels were by Schmidt, CF Line I think.

don't forget, when you are averaging 12mpg, you need an early warning, so yes..I
Odd question, I've just been out for a Hoon and with just under a 1/4 tank left showing, the fuel warning light came on. Is this normal with Z4's/Z4M's? I think in the manual it said there is a pretty big fuel "reserve" ?
I'd been trying to forget that element of ownership! As it's a new toy, I was expecting to be driving it a lot, but I didn't count on my dad "borrowing" it from time to time!don't forget, when you are averaging 12mpg, you need an early warning, so yes..
I had to know about it, that car would have been in my inheritance one day. Until you went and sold itStalker.... you know too much

Personally, I think the wheel and body colour combo look totally on point! While I like the Z4M wheels a bit more now I've seen them in person, they do look a bit dated. I think your wheels makes your Zed look modern and a non petrolhead would not be able to date the car if it had a private plate on!some more of the Schmidt wheels.... well I liked them..

Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey................FrankieHello everyone,
Just doing my first post to introduce myself on the forums. Last Sat I collected my 2007 Carbon Black Z4MR. I had admired the Z4 ever since my friend got the 3.0 Coupe back in 2008. After not being able to drive for a few years due to issues with nerve damage in my lumbar area, I finally had enough improvement that I was able to get a nice car again.
Previously I have owned a number of E30's , with an E30 Alpina C2 2.5 being the last. I had been using my mums 2010 factory JCW Mini, but due to my height of 6.4+ I was unable to get the seat low enough that the roofline didn't block such a large chunk of my view. With a stroke of good luck, the Z4MR allows me to sit low enough that I can see out much easier, yet there is enough room for my large frame to sit without aggravating the damaged section of my back.
Due to the really poor weather we've had in Oxford this last week, I've not been able to take any of my own pics, so for now I am just using one of the ones the dealer took of the car.

Currently I am just trying to build up the miles behind the wheel of my new "Zed" as it's been about 8 years since I owned my Alpina C2, which was the last RWD car I had owned/driven. Until a few years ago, I was driving a really heavily modified Subaru Impreza P1, which had 322hp/330lbt , so the Z4MR is a bit of a step up in powerwise, even if the torque output is somewhat less.
I've pretty much instantly fell in love with my "new" car, as the sound from the S54 and until recently my old man use to own a lovely E46 M3 Cab. Because the weather has been pretty rotten this last week, I've taken it very carefully in the car and have just been enjoying the whole experience of owning such a well rounded car.
Fingers crossed I will be able to find some fun monthly meets around my neck of the woods to attend, as it's one part of car culture I really missed.
Regards,
Dan aka Felix
