She's a character from "Last of the summer wine" who could sell sand to the Arab's. She tries to sell stuff to anyone who walks past her shop door

I'll sort some more pics in a bit, just had to sort the tax disc online and now need to sort a residents parking permit.
Can't go wrong for a daily shed mate. Anything of that ilk is ideal. Residents parking permit?

Yeah, we have controlled parking on the road I live on. We have a driveway, but having three cars on it will involve far too much shuffling around. I bought cheap so it can literally be dumped anywhere without worrying!

This is a bit of a horror story, but it's the worst of it... I'll likely find a new handle off eBay, and the shopping bag marks can stay!

Looks fine for what you want mate. Jacks in a fiesta at the moment but is wanting a newer car soon. He has mentioned a polo.

I don't see the shopping marks getting worse anytime soon. Not unless springs, shocks, brake discs and the like get transported to the Zedshed!

Looks very nice, I'm undecided as to whether to buy a car around the £4 grand mark or buy something at the lower end, either way I need something with cheap insurance, road tax and overall running costs.

The thing that surprised me was how roomy it is inside. Not sure what I was expecting, but it certainly doesn't drive like a small car either. Putting some air in the tyres has helped as it was a little wobbly to start with.

They're like a Tardis inside. They're quite good in traffic, they're quite quick off the mark and surprise a few people. Road holding is pretty good too. Reminds me a bit of the old Leyland Mini

Introducing the new daily shed! :D 2003 VW Polo 1.4TDI Sport

Went for a speculative nosey over this beastly thing this morning expecting it to be a literal shed. It was at a dealer 1 mile from my house for £1000, the only reason I can see it being that cheap is it's 163k on the clock.

Got there and it was -3 so a great test of its cold start! Turned over immediately, no hesitation and sat idling perfectly. Put my code reader on it, no stored codes. Waited for it to defrost while nosing over it and then off for a quick test drive. Absolutley spot on to drive, clutch & gearbox silky smooth. Held above motorway speeds with ease, nice and smooth.

There are a couple of issues with it but nothing major. The rear windscreen wiper doesn't work, so eBay should be able to source me a cheap replacement.

Comes with a fresh MOT and £50 off the screen price.

@GazHyde : "And its so easy to start too. All I have to do is turn the ignition key to 'on', then go under the bonnet and pull the string with the yellow handle, and 'boom'..off I go............"

What you thought was the wheel brace in the boot is actually the cranking handle! I needn't take the p***, I had a Rover 75!

@FRANKIE Haha, very random. I'm not planning to get rid of my Zed by any means, just need a car to drive daily.

As for the compression test, we've had to rearrange again and it'll hopefully be done next Saturday now.

I do have some good news, I put the standard airbox on after @Brian4 gave me a b*******ing for using a K&N air filter and it's heaps better to start in the morning, not perfect, but it starts first time and then it's very smooth after about 15-20 seconds of rough idling. It has started first time everyday for the past three days, crank sounds healthier too.

The list of things to do next week seems to keep getting bigger @t-tony =))
