New carpet

The only prob with carpet is that if you put the car away wet the carpet stays wet for ages. Used some of the interlocking tiles from Halfords where I stand in my workshop and a I have a few few scatter ones when i need to go underneath out on the drive.

One end of workshop.

The carpet is great for concrete in the garage, but if you haven't any, the best is a sheet of an inch of extruded styrofoam! Not only keeps a very pleasant warm, but it protects your knees perfectly, being thick and soft.

Better by far Dan:thumbsup: it actually makes you feel warm.

That's why I put the foam tiles on the floor as I seem to spend more time in there now and my poor feet were getting cold:oops::(

They were 2 packs of 8 tiles for £20 approx 8' x 4' per pack

Was that directed at T-Tony? a bit personal I think

I use the interlocking tiles too, but permanently down either side of the car and front and rear. With a few to place underneath if I need too

I got some sheets from a builder via a dodgy commercial tyre fitter ;)

Freebies are always the best value

No , not at Tony!:)
At myself because after becoming an "young motorcycle enthusiast" =)), I want to protect my knees as long as possible!

It's thick cardboard for me, flattened TV boxes, often double thickness. I use 2 layers and i have to work outside, no related aches and pains yet and I'm 69

I was told about the dangers of working cold surfaces and how it can affect you in later life when I was an apprentice. It was very good advice and I pass it on to others.

Tony.

Yeah, totally agree Tony, I've never worked directly on the ground and that's why I've got to 69 with no I'll effects

This is what I have just been using. It is slightly brittle on the edges but as long as you're careful it's great.

That's a tight fit mate.

I like how you designed your house back door to line up with your Zed's drivers door Jim. Now that's well thought out =))
The only reason I'm living there =))=))

God, I can't wait to get a bigger house with a decent garage! My Silver Z3 is in storage in my Mum's garage in Plymouth
Well at least I have a toy to drive around Devon and Cornwall in when I go to visit!

Well, if it's a big garage you want . . . . . . . . . ;)=))
