Hi Brian, what channel was it on please?

Tony.

Hi Tony, it was on More 4 last night ar 9.00pm,
Sorry I forgot I had recorded it and watched it tonight,
Last week it was a DB6..... beautiful car!
I really enjoy sos ,one of the better rebuild programs.

I do love car S.O.S. Really enjoyed the DB6. Gave that fella a 150k or more car once it was done

What I like about Wheeler Dealers that SOS doesn't do, is tell you the end cost. That DB6 can't have been cheap, but it sets expectations for other people who might want to pay to restore. All we know is that Channel 4 give them an open cheque book!

I’m not sure it’s an open cheque book. They were doing one in their underwear the DB6 engine was knackered as it would have cost too much to rebuild.

What you dont usually get described in SOS when that they concentrate on the bodywork and engine and trim, is that all the running gear, brakes and suspension components look new. That must cost an arm and a leg as well above and beyond the bits they talk about.
New hoses, radiators, carpets, all must add up etc etc

Excellent stuff I didn't know it was back. I'll be on more4 later then. :D

I didn’t know it was back either until I typed ca instead of co in the catchup search.

Yep, I was looking for Coronation Street.

If you want to know what happens to Whelan, he is just . . . . . . ...

These programs are funded through selling them to many tv channels. The more popular the program the more advertisers will pay. The more they pay the more they can spend and charge. I’m not sure any particular channel commissions them C4 or Discovery etc. They are consumers. Car SOS like many similar programs become more polished and scripted as they get older. They not organic any more but highly planned and staged, probably making Tim and fuzz very wealthy in the process. Still good entertainment though.
